Two Indianapolis men have been convicted in a deadly attack on 56-year-old Bryan Ward that happened on the city's southwest side in 2023. Vincent McCurtis has been found guilty of murder, and Brandon Jackson has been found guilty of reckless homicide. McCurtis also pleaded guilty to the habitual offender sentencing enhancement. On May 14, 2023, Indianapolis Metro Police officers were called to the 1700 block of Howard Street, near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and South Harding Street. Officers went into a home, where they found Ward who was seriously injured. McCurtis and Jackson were both at the scene, along with a woman.
