The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis announced one of its downtown Indianapolis locations is closing. The Athenaeum location at 401 E. Michigan St. will close March 28, 2025. A spokesperson confirmed YMCA members can still visit the location through that date. "This decision comes after extensive discussions and careful consideration with the goal of ensuring the YMCA’s long-term sustainability and continued impact in the community," the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis said in a news release.
