Description
A 17-year-old boy was recently taken into custody after he allegedly shot and killed a dog on Indy's near northeast side.
On Jan. 23, Indianapolis Animal Care Services contacted the IMPD Nuisance and Abatement Unit on a report of a dog being shot in the 3700 block of Hillside Avenue, near 38th Street and North Keystone Avenue.
When detectives arrived on the scene, neighbors said the dog had been killed by a juvenile in the middle of the day while the neighbors were outside. According to IMPD, the dog was not displaying any "aggressive behavior" at the time of the shooting.
