On Wednesday, Jan. 29, Duke Energy received the state's approval to increase your electric bills. In the order, the state said Duke Energy is allowed to raise its revenue around $395 million. That is lower than Duke's original ask of around $491 million. Duke is also increasing its reconnection fee from $6 to $8.
