Gov. Mike Braun's proposed budget and its lack of funding for a predominately Black university in Indianapolis is sparking outrage.
Many Hoosiers are concerned about what the financial changes could mean for the future of Martin University.
"It's a racist move. That's all it is," said State Rep. Greg Porter (D-District 96).
Porter did not mince words about funding for Martin University.
Braun's proposed budget eliminates grants to the state's only predominantly Black institution.
