Something is missing from Jennifer Bleeke's morning routine. That something is Facebook because a scammer locked Bleeke out of her account. "I tried to get in, and it wouldn't let me in," Bleeke said. Then, the situation got worse. "I got a phone call from a friend that said, 'Are you really selling that backhoe?'" The scammer wrote a post saying Bleeke's sister-in-law has Stage 4 lung cancer and was selling some big-ticket items to raise money. "A car, a golf cart, yard equipment, tractors," Bleeke recalled. While friends said they reported the suspicious post to Facebook, Bleeke estimates the money traps stayed up for weeks.
