Description
A Franklin woman, who was high on fentanyl when she hit a teen getting on the school bus in 2024, was sentenced to 10 years.
Melanie Mudd was sentenced Jan. 22 to 10 years, with eight to be served in prison. In November, Mudd pleaded guilty to causing seriously bodily injury when operating a vehicle with a schedule I or II substance in blood (a Level 5 felony) and the habitual offender enhancement.
