A Greenwood man convicted in the 2023 killing of his father has been sentenced to 47 years in prison. Jacob M. Moran, 23, was found guilty after a November trial on charges of murder, domestic battery, intimidation and criminal trespass. Greenwood police said Jacob killed his father after a fight about moving out of the house in the 400 block of Euclid Avenue, near South Madison Avenue and West Main Street, on Aug. 28, 2023. Investigators found 45-year-old Shaun Moran dead in the garage from a single gunshot to the back.
