Description
Those living on Questend Drive South on Indianapolis' northwest side looked out their windows to see tons of police Friday afternoon.
"You never thought anything like this would happen," said Robert Smith, who lives near the scene.
IMPD said they were called to a home in the 2800 block of Questend Drive South, near West Kessler Boulevard North Drive and Lafayette Road, on Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. after a 79-year-old man called saying he beat his wife, 76-year-old Mary Ogle, formerly known as Mary Embry, to death.
This revelation shocked their family and sent a shockwave through the neighborhood, as she was a former teacher and he was a former principal at Forest Manor Middle School, a now-closed school that was previously part of Indianapolis Public Schools.
