Greater Indianapolis Habitat for Humanity has been seeing record-breaking numbers. They have built a record number of houses and have had a record number of applicants, but the applicant approvals have not kept up.
Now, they're launching a program they hope will help.
Home ownership is becoming increasingly out of reach for many because of skyrocketing housing prices and high mortgage interest rates.
Habitat For Humanity helped Briannca Kirtley fulfill her homeownership dream. She and her daughters moved into their home six months ago. Building a Habitat Home has been a dream of hers since she was 9 years old, after witnessing another woman receive one.
