A woman was found dead in a house fire on the south side of Indianapolis Wednesday night. Firefighters responded to a report of the house fire in the 1500 block of Hoefgen Street, near East Raymond Street and Interstate 65, shortly after 9:30 p.m. Jan. 15. When crews arrived on the scene, they were met with heavy fire and were told that a person may still be inside. Around 9:50 p.m., firefighters found a woman in her 70s dead inside the home.
