Firefighters are investigating after the Capitol City Fence Company caught fire Sunday morning. According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, just before 10 a.m. on Jan. 12, firefighters responded to the Capitol City Fence Company at 920 East Ohio Street, near Pine Street and Interstate 70 on the near east side of Indianapolis. The Capitol City Fence Company is a family-owned fencing business. Firefighters arrived almost immediately and found no visible fire on the outside of the building, but once they accessed the building's interior, they discovered a heavy fire was already burning inside. IFD says it took over two hours to contain the fire. About 50% of the building's roof collapsed and multiple rounds of ammunition inside began going off as firefighters fought the blaze.
