Description
Chris Orr moved into his Noblesville neighborhood 10 years ago. His home sits tucked away in the trees, backed up to Herriman Boulevard. The privacy is a big reason why he moved in.
"These are 30- and 40-year-old trees," said Orr. "Just the beauty factor of it. When that grows in, it is nothing but lush green area. It's beautiful."
His backyard full of trees, however, will be wiped out when Duke Energy clears land for improvements on a major power line in 2025. Tree removal is set to begin in January.
Orr says his home is one of about 35 properties impacted by the project.
