A 19-year-old man was arrested after two 17-year-olds were injured in a shooting in Kokomo, police said. The incident was reported around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 in the 1000 block of South Elizabeth Street, near East Markland Avenue. Responding Kokomo Police Department officers found a 17-year-old who had been shot in an alley. The victim was taken to a local hospital and transported by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital, where they were listed in critical condition. While officers were at the hospital with the victim, a second 17-year-old injured in the shooting was brought to the hospital. That teen was also transferred to an Indianapolis hospital, where he was "stable" and expected to be released, police said.
