Police are investigating the deaths of two people who were apparently shot to death in an east Indianapolis home. Officers received a call shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 of a request to check on the welfare of at least one person at a home in the 5200 block of East 20th Place, near East 21st Street and Emerson Avenue. When they arrived, the officers found a man and a woman inside, both with apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
