On Wednesday, city leaders and developers unveiled the first phase of redevelopment of the City Market campus. Construction will focus on the west side near Market and Delaware streets. It’s part of a plan Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett first announced in 2022 to revitalize the downtown space, including the market itself. "The redevelopment of City Market marks the next exciting chapter in the ongoing Downtown Resiliency Strategy," Hogsett said. "The first phase of this project will not only revitalize one of our city’s most historic and beloved sites, but it will ensure the City Market campus remains a dynamic, welcoming space."
