Description
Snow lovers, rejoice! After three consecutive "wimpy" winters, those who love snow in Indiana finally had their day(s). Now that the storm has exited, we can review snowfall reports from the past 24 hours. Several things proved to be true about this storm in regards to our messaging heading into the weekend.
One — the more widespread, heavy amounts did occur south of I-70. Two — there was a rather sharp drop-off in snow accumulation in the northern tier of our counties, which was also the area of least forecast confidence for us.
Our last call for the Indy metro area, and I-70 corridor, was 5"-8", and that proved to be mostly true. Though like with any storm, there were places that got a little more due to mesoscale bands.
