IMPD is investigating after police arrested 16 people following a shots fired call and found several guns and drugs inside of a near east side Vrbo Thursday morning. Around 1:20 a.m., officers were called to the 800 block of Spruce Street on multiple reports of gunfire, in the Fountain Square neighborhood. When police arrived on scene of the rental, they were met with a large gathering and several armed suspects ran from officers. One fleeing suspect was detained and found with a firearm, and shell casings were found outside of the home. Other occupants of the Vrbo were also detained and taken from the home, where IMPD seized multiple guns and narcotics.
