Description
MPD arrested an alleged suspect after six people were shot on Christmas on the city's northeast side.
According to IMPD, homicide detectives arrested a 45-year-old man.
Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 6400 block of Meadowlark Drive, near 42nd Street and North Arlington Avenue, shortly before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25.
When officers arrived, they found a woman outside who had been shot. She and another man who had been shot took themselves to a hospital. Police did not share an update on their conditions.
Officers also found two other people, a man and a woman, who had been shot inside the home. Medics took both of them to a local hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead and the man's condition was said to be "stable."
