A real-life "Elf on the Shelf" has been spotted in various spots around the town of Troutman, North Carolina this holiday season.
So who is he?
His name is Dale. He works for the town's Park and Recreation Department.
His boss came up with the idea, and he didn't hesitate to take on the role as Troutman's first elf.
