Description
Three people fell in the water after a portion of the Santa Cruz Wharf collapsed Monday and floated away, authorities said.
Part of the Santa Cruz Wharf collapsed after being battered by waves amid a High Surf Warning, according to KGO (ABC7). One of ABC7's tower cams on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk captured part of the wharf floating in the water.
The Santa Cruz Fire Department reported three people fell in the water after the wharf collapsed. Two were rescued and the third got out of the water on their own.
