Indianapolis police are investigating after a shooting inside Castleton Square Mall on the city's northeast side Monday evening during a busy holiday shopping period. IMPD said it believes one person was shot in the incident. Police were called to the mall, off East 82nd Street near Interstate 465, around 8:30 p.m. Dec. 23 by off-duty officers working security there. The mall was immediately evacuated after the gunfire. A department spokesperson said they believe shots were fired during "a disturbance between individuals who knew each other."
