After eight weeks of competition, "Finding Mr. Christmas" winner Ezra Moreland is now making his Hallmark Christmas movie debut alongside actress and singer Jessica Lowndes ("90210," "A Deadly Adoption"). In "Happy Howlidays," Mia (Lowndes) comes across a stray dog who follows her home. Unable to care for it, Mia takes the dog to a shelter, where she meets Max (Moreland). As he's about to reject Mia and the dog, his own dog and the stray dog lock eyes, and it's love at first sight, forcing Mia and Max to begrudgingly hang out as well. "They were the cutest dogs ever. It was amazing, and it was really tough for me to pretend I didn't like dogs because I love them," Lowndes said. "I actually have a song that's in the movie, 'You,' and it's our characters' inside joke, and it plays over the kissing scene in the end. I wasn't allowed to put (Moreland) in the music video because this whole thing was so top-secret, so I cast the dog, and he crushed it." To earn the starring role in this film, Moreland had to beat out nine other aspiring actors in the Hallmark+ reality show. "It was a lot, in the best way possible, because every day was so new from the show being my first experience overall on film," said Moreland, who spent six years as a rescue swimmer in the U.S. Navy and has no prior acting experience or formal training. "Happy Howlidays" is airing on Hallmark Channel this holiday season and available to stream on Hallmark+.
