A man who allegedly shot a woman on the west side of Indianapolis has died after being shot by police Thursday afternoon. According to IMPD, just after 2 p.m. on Dec. 19, officers responded to the 300 block of South Warman Avenue, near Washington Street and South Tibbs Avenue, on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been shot. While officers were rendering aid to the woman, they were given a suspect description, and other officers began to search the area for the suspect. Eventually, officers heard shots being fired in the area. They then found a man matching the suspect's description allegedly wielding a machete.
