IMPD is investigating after a girl was fatally stabbed on Indianapolis' near east side Monday morning. The incident was reported around 9:15 a.m. Dec. 16 in the 400 block of North Randolph Street, near East Michigan Street. That's just a few blocks southeast of Arsenal Tech High School. An IMPD spokesperson said responding officers found a female stabbing victim, believed to be a juvenile, outside a home. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The spokesperson said detectives were canvassing the area and looking for surveillance footage Monday morning. The spokesperson said police were not releasing a description of a possible suspect at this time, and detectives believe the stabbing was an "isolated incident" with "no ongoing community threat."
