Description
Changes are coming to interstates on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
INDOT is focusing on speeding issues near the I-465 and I-69 interchange by expanding a speed control program known as "Safe Zones."
The program will bring speed cameras to construction sites on I-465 and I-69 starting in 2025.
The cameras capture the speed vehicles are traveling. If the car is going at least 11 miles per hour over the speed limit, an automatic citation is issued.
After pre-enforcement ends, drivers will get one warning before receiving a fine.
