Description
Carmel's very own two-time Olympic medalist Alex Shackell just beat a world record with the U.S. women's team Tuesday.
The Hoosier competed in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay with Kate Douglass, Katharine Berkoff and Gretchen Walsh at the World Aquatics Swimming Championships.
The team set a new world record of 3:25:01, which was over three seconds ahead of the silver medalists from Australia and bronze medalists from Canada.
