Description
It's a tradition in Tipton, Indiana: "Santa John" collecting and donating money to neighbors in need. In this community of 5,000, everybody knows this particular Santa. He's been caring for the community for more than a decade
During the holiday season, you'll find someone special strolling the streets of Tipton, Indiana. John Beaty, with his big red suit and signature belly laugh, not only greets kids and takes wish lists, but also goes door to door with gifts of generosity.
For 17 Christmas seasons, he's handed out money to local food pantries.
On Monday, Dec. 9, he stopped by Second Blessings, a store that supports the Good Shepherd Food Pantry in town.
