Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) is in urgent need of help dealing with overcrowding as bitter cold hits central Indiana.
Shelters typically see an increase in weather-related animal pick ups. Even before the recent Arctic blast, the shelter was seeing an increase. Between Nov. 24 and Nov. 30, the shelter took in 70 dogs while only 56 dogs were adopted or reclaimed.
