Description
Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Kyle Mooney is making us relive the Year 2000 problem with his directorial debut.
In "Y2K," two high schoolers (Jaeden Martell and Julian Dennison) crash a New Year's Eve party, only to find themselves fighting for their lives as all technology comes to life and turns against humanity.
"For those of us who were alive, it was such a major letdown, and I think I was sort of minorly obsessed with Y2K over the course of my life," said Mooney, who also co-wrote and starred in the disaster comedy. "On New Year's Day 2019, I had the small seed of an idea about this premise."
"Y2K" opens in theaters nationwide Dec. 6.
