Description
Former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is returning to Stanford University to become the football program's general manager, according to ESPN reporter Pete Thamel.
Thamel said this new role will put him above the entire program and is a "distinct evolution" from the traditional college general manager.
According to ESPN, Luck's role will involves everything that has to do with Stanford football, from both the football side and the business side. ESPN says the football duties of his role will include managing the coaching staff, player personnel staff, recruiting, roster management and student-athlete experience.
Luck retired abruptly in August 2019 at age 29 with three years left on his contract. He joined the Colts in 2012.
