Hoosiers know there is nothing better than welcoming in the holiday season with the Downtown Indy, Inc. Circle of Lights® presented by IBEW 481. The towering Soldiers and Sailors Monument is beautifully lit as tens of thousands of people cheer on the start of the holiday season. The show starts at 6 p.m. with the arrival of Santa and the flipping of the switch just after 6:50 p.m. With construction now moving to the south steps of the monument, the stage for this year’s Circle of Lights will be relocated to the north side and face inward toward the crowd. IMPD and IFD will have extra officers and firefighters monitoring traffic flow and crowd size.
