A former day care worker in Westfield is facing charges for her alleged abuse of a 3-year-old child under her care in December 2023. According to court documents, an altercation between Teisha Graham, of Kokomo, and the child was caught on camera inside of Gunther KinderCare, located near Westfield and Carey roads, on Dec. 22, 2023. In the 45-second video, Graham can allegedly first be seen leaning over the child in the crib saying, "I triple dog dare you," followed by the child throwing something at her. After being verbally reprimanded and allegedly shoved backward by the day care worker, the child can be heard crying. That's when Graham can be heard saying, "you think that is funny?" before picking up the child by his arm over her head for 20 seconds. Court documents say when the 3-year-old said, “no,” Graham told the child, “do you want to try that again?" before dropping the child back into the crib.
