Description
Indiana State Police is investigating a police shooting Monday in Clinton County involving troopers and a woman wanted for a deadly shooting near Cincinnati.
According to a release from the Springfield Township Police Department in Hamilton County, Ohio, investigators had identified 42-year-old Terea Brown as a suspect in the shooting death of 33-year-old Lacresha Black around 7 a.m. Nov. 18 in Ohio.
Detectives put out a regional alert with a description of Brown and her vehicle, then learned she had traveled to Clinton County in Indiana. State troopers located the vehicle near the 149-mile marker on Interstate 65 just after 9:30 a.m. and attempted a traffic stop, according to ISP, but Brown failed to comply, leading to a pursuit.
Brown exited the interstate at State Road 28 near Frankfort and stopped at a gas station. State police say, at that time, a shot was fired from the vehicle and by troopers.
