This week, we're putting the spotlight on The Christmas Experience, a one-day event giving parents the chance to shop for free shoes and toys for their children. The parents also have access to a complete food pantry, where families can get basic needs and holiday meals. The Christmas Experience will also have family photo opportunities, domestic violence support, job opportunities and other resources. The small nonprofit wants parents and their children to maintain their dignity while experiencing the true meaning of Christmas. $250 in donations can provide a dozen toys, $500 would provide 12 pairs of shoes, but our goal this week is $2,000, which would pay for toys and shoes for 20 kids.
