Getting young people involved in the political process has been a top priority for the political parties. Now, a 19-year-old in Scott County, Indiana is taking it a step further. He ran for coroner — and won. Bryton Richey lives in Scottsburg. He's been working in a funeral home the last few months. That helped get him interested in the idea. He launched his bid for coroner just before he graduated from high school. Richey won the primary and ran unopposed in the general election. Now, he's working to complete the necessary training and line up his deputy.
