Description
The Department of Public Works and city of Indianapolis are currently preparing for this upcoming winter season.
The DPW said they have hundreds of drivers ready to roll when snow hits the pavement.
This year, the DPW has 64 new drivers that have their CDL license. These drivers are among the several hundred on standby when winter weather events happen across the metro area.
With the weather being warmer this time of year, the DPW said they expect a back-and-forth with bad pavement conditions and potholes having to be filled.
On top of that, they have plow drivers going through a master plow program to prepare for the snowy roads.
