IMPD is investigating after a man was killed in a shooting on Indianapolis' near east side Sunday night. Around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 27, officers responded to the intersection of East Brookside Avenue and North Oxford Street, near Massachusetts Avenue and North Rural Street, for a report of a man down in an alley. Officers found a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. IMPD Capt. Don Weilhammer told 13News shortly after the incident that officers had not located any witnesses or determined additional information on the circumstances of the shooting.
