NASA has called it quits on a science instrument on the Voyager 2 spacecraft to save energy.
The 47-year-old vessel is currently soaring through space 13 billion miles away from Earth.
Scientists said they're shutting down the instrument used to study solar winds.
NASA expects the Voyager 2 to operate with at least one science instrument into 2030, even with dwindling energy supplies.
