Indianapolis is facing a grim reality with an alarming number of unsolved homicides. According to the latest statistics from IMPD, from Jan. 1 to Sept. 25, 2024, 156 people have been killed, but only 50 of those cases were reported solved. IMPD says the department's clearance rate for homicides as of Oct. 2 is 57.6%, which is on par with previous years. 13News looked at the same statistics in similarly sized cities.
