IMPD is investigating after a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle that fled the scene on Indy's northwest side Monday morning. Around 6:30 a.m. Sept. 30, officers responded to a report of a person down in the 4000 block of North High School Road, near 38th Street. When they arrived on scene, police found a woman who had been struck by a vehicle but could not find the suspect vehicle that was responsible. Medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
