Description
Emergency crews are rushing to rescue people trapped in flooded homes after Helene roared ashore as a powerful Category 4 hurricane in Florida.
The U.S. Coast Guard even saved a man and his dog after his 36-ft sailboat became disabled and started taking on water about 25 miles off Sanibel Island, Florida. The Coast Guard posted the video to its Facebook page.
The system generated a massive storm surge and knocked out power to millions of customers in several states and left more than 20 people dead.
