Description
Police are investigating after a van crashed into a home in the 4000 block of South Post Road, across from the Franklin Township Little League Field on the far southeast side of Indianapolis.
A couple was sleeping on the other side of the wall the van slammed into shortly after 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16.
"My husband and I were upstairs. My grandma and grandpa were downstairs asleep, and the house felt like a bomb went off," Jennifer Clark said.
Clark said her husband told her someone hit the house. But by the time the family got outside, the van was abandoned.
"We came outside and there was a van in the front of the house, so there was nobody there. It was a hit-and-run for us," Clark said.
A driver a few cars behind the van caught the entire crash on dashcam video and shared it with 13News.
The video shows the van veer off the right side of the road. The driver attempted to regain control but veered to the left, across the double yellow line, and slammed into the home.
