IMPD is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Saturday morning on the city's east side. Officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 3800 block of East Washington Street, near North Sherman Drive, shortly after 6 a.m. Sept. 14. Police arrived and found a man with gunshot wounds in an alleyway behind the AutoZone. Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. IMPD confirmed officers detained a "person of interest." Police also said they found multiple guns at the scene.
