Description
Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook won the first U.S. medal with a silver in the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard.
In one of the most highly anticipated swimming events, Australia’s Ariarne Titmus won the 400-meter freestyle and Katie Ledecky got bronze.
The 4x100-meter freestyle swimming relays featured showdowns between the U.S. and Australia.
In the women’s race, Australia came out on top.
But the American men won their relay, earning the U.S. its first gold medal of the Paris Games and Caeleb Dressel his 8th total gold.
American Chloé Dygert [Die-gurt] won bronze in the women's cycling time trial.
And the U.S. men’s gymnastics team qualified for Monday’s team final,
But Brody Malone saw his hopes for an individual medal dashed after multiple falls.
