Description
We continue with typical July heat and scattered storms the next few days before a rainy pattern takes over at the end of the week. Sunday through Wednesday will bring lower 90s, plus a few scattered downpours in the afternoons. Any rain will be mainly from lunchtime through early evening.
At the end of the week, a slug of tropical moisture will fling toward us with a broad low-pressure system over the northern Gulf. This will likely translate into a few rainy and less hot days from Thursday into next weekend. The National Hurricane Center is highlighting the late-week system with a low chance of tropical development. Models are not aggressively organizing it so far. We'll watch it closely, but it could stay a messy rainmaker.
