Louisiana televangelist Jimmy Swaggart will be laid to rest on Sunday, July 13. At 90 years old, Jimmy Swaggart was a force. The man who built an empire on his passionate preaching and wide-reaching ministry died Tuesday morning at a Baton Rouge hospital. “It’s a little bit difficult to imagine a world that Jimmy Swaggart is not in,” said Jimmy Swaggart Ministries spokesperson Megan Kelly. Kelly says Swaggart’s health had been in decline for several years. His death comes after a heart attack two weeks ago left him in critical condition. “Without a miracle, his time will be short,” said Donnie Swaggart during a June 15th church service. At the time, Swaggart’s son Donnie and the rest of the family were hoping for a miracle.
