Police in Indianapolis are investigating a shooting early Sunday morning that left one person dead and another person injured. It happened around 12:50 a.m. July 6 in the 1800 block of Roosevelt Avenue, which is just east of 19th Street and Hillside Avenue. An IMPD spokesperson said officers investigating a report of a shooting arrived to find two people with apparent gunshot wounds. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
