A family of four is without a home following a fire early Saturday morning on the near west side of Indianapolis. According to a social media post from the Indianapolis Fire Department, around 1:16 a.m. on July 5, firefighters responded to the 500 block of North Centennial Street, near West Michigan Street, on a report of a residence fire. Firefighters say the fire also spread to a home next door, forcing a family of five to evacuate. However, IFD says the damage to the neighboring house was contained to the exterior.
