People passing Indy's Veterans Memorial Plaza on Thursday could see some of the prep work for Friday's big event, but organizers said the real transformation was yet to come.
"We will have our pyrotechnics experts in the building across from us starting early in the morning. We will have food trucks loading in mid-afternoon along St. Clair Street," said Taylor Schaffer, president and CEO of Downtown Indy, Inc.
